Sebastian Huber “peace&loove” is among the most recent highlights of the 2024 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). It has seen some unforgettable events. Adding to his outstanding total of over 50 cashes in the current series, the PokerStars Team Pro won his second career WCOOP title in the WCOOP 88-L: $11 H.O.R.S.E. 6-Max event. Along with a $2,097 award, Huber gained vital WCOOP League points for his side, Peace&Loove, which is nearing the sought-after league title.
Sebastian Huber has been outstanding all through the series, but his most recent victory is especially noteworthy. Huber scored his first WCOOP win in a $5.50 No- Limit Hold’em 7-Max PKO event back in 2022. He outperformed a field of 1,386 applicants this time to claim the WCOOP 88-L title. Like many other PokerStars ambassadors, Huber delighted his fans by live streaming his gameplay on Twitch. But unlike fellow PokerStars Pro Lex “L. Veldhuis,” who notably won his maiden WCOOP title earlier this year while dressed as Ali G—Huber kept things more subdued.
Sebastian Huber WCOOP League Standings
Huber’s victory greatly improved Peace&Loove, his team’s WCOOP League performance. With the 355 points gained after the triumph, Peace&Loove leads Team Tonkaaaa 965-points strongly. With his WCOOP 88-H: $1,050 H.O.R.S.E. 6-Max for $22,498 Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi from Team Easywithaces also scored big, narrowing the Tonkaaaa difference.
These are the present league rankings:
- Team Peace & Loove – 6,225 points (+355); Team Tonkaaaa – 5,260 points (+280).
- Team Easywithaces – 5,025 points (+325).
- Team L. Veldhuis – 4,265 points (+175).
- Team Aakkari scored 3,680 points (+110).
- Team Spraggy: 3,195 points (+225).
Sebastian Huber and his colleagues are looking more and more likely to win as the competition draws to an end, therefore confirming their WCOOP League title.
Vlad Darie Wins Maiden WCOOP Title and $132,607
Claiming his first-ever WCOOP title in the elite WCOOP 86-H: $5,200 NLHE Super Tuesday event, Romanian poker player Vlad “dariepoker” Darie made headlines. Just a few days after winning a big $633,000 prize in the WSOP Online International series, Darie left carrying a nice $132,607 payout.
There were 121 participants in the $5,200 Super Tuesday event, therefore creating a prize pool of $605,000. Payouts went to the top 15 finishers; poker prowess abound on the final table. Unfortunate bubble guy, Spain’s Adrian “Amadi_017” Mateos busted in 16th position. The nine surviving players all locked in at least $17,611.
Following several eliminations, the competition came to a heads-up clash between Darie and Bulgaria’s “IAttack 95.” Darie ultimately prevailed; “IAttack95” came home with $102,743 in second-place finish.
Darie’s triumph marks a turning point in his poker career, and his consistent performance in WCOOP and other big events is still amazing.
