In a notable development during the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Punjab Kings (PBKS) successfully retained left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh for an impressive Rs 18 crore.
The 25-year-old was initially acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 15.75 crore but was brought back to PBKS using the Right to Match (RTM) card. SRH then increased their bid to Rs 18 crore, which PBKS matched to keep the talented bowler.
Although he was released by Punjab Kings before the last auction, Arshdeep has consistently performed well for the franchise since 2019. Over his IPL career, he has taken 76 wickets in 65 matches.
The young pacer also played a vital role in India’s recent T20 World Cup victory, finishing as the joint-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets.
