The Women in Poker Hall of Fame (WiPHoF) is getting ready to greet a fresh batch of outstanding women. They have permanently changed the poker scene. - Kristen Bicknell Foxen in the Women in Poker Hall of Fame
Kristen Bicknell Foxen is a force to be reckoned with in the poker scene having won four times the World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. She ranks among the top 200 money earners in poker history with almost $8.40 million in tournament profits. Only two other women have accomplished this. Her path from an online poker prodigy. David was instrumental in the legalization of online poker in many U.S. states and European markets as the former head of responsible gaming at PokerStars. Her support of sensible gaming policies has resulted in her speaking before legislative bodies in the Netherlands and the UK. Rebecca McAdams Willetts has been a leader for women in the poker business for almost twenty years. She started the first female insights community and pushed projects, including women-only boot camps. McAdam Willetts’ contributions also include philanthropy, having raised more than $1.50 million via philanthropic events hosted by PokerStars. Currently pregnant with her daughter, she started QueenBHive. A PR and marketing company aimed at helping women-owned companies in male-dominated fields. Four nominations for “Inspiration of the Year” at the Women in Gaming Awards reflect her commitment to both the poker scene and more general social concerns.
- Annnette Obrestad
Known online as “Annette_15, Annette Obrestad became a poker star as a young player accumulating her bankroll via freerolls. Famously won an online event without even looking at her whole cards. Just one day before her 19th birthday, she won the first WSOP Europe Main Event in London. She made £1 million, therefore marking her breakthrough. Her victory established a record for the biggest single-event payout for a female player. She made her the youngest WSOP bracelet winner at the time. Obrestad, whose career income exceeds $3.90 million, has encouraged a generation of women to pick up poker even as she currently investigates new challenges in the realm of Scrabble.
- Jennifer Shakade
One unusual person who has excelled in the poker and chess fields is Jennifer Shahade. Women in Poker Hall of Fame: Voting and an Induction Ceremony
Women in Poker Hall of Fame of Fame Class of 2024 is open until midnight PST on October 30, 2024. Along with the public, a panel of media and business professionals will vote to decide the new inductees. November will see the announcement of the winners; they will be honoured at a unique event in Las Vegas on December 11, 2024.
Women in Poker Hall of Fame: An Inheritance of Superiority
Originally founded in 2008, the Women in Poker Hall of Fame honours the accomplishments of women who have made major contributions to poker. Right now, the hall consists of 25 outstanding members like Maria Ho, Jennifer Tilly, Linda Johnson, Barbara Enright, and Jennifer Harman. These ladies opened doors for next generations, and their Hall of Fame admission attests to their influence on the game.
Those that enrol in the Women in Poker Hall of Fame will join a community that has helped define poker into what it is now and therefore become part of its legacy.
