From August 26th through the 8th, the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona festival will take place in the posh Casino Barcelona, capping up an exciting few weeks of events. But the Campeonato Espana de Poker (CEP), a much-loved poker series in Spain, will have the casino in a poker frenzy well before the EPT begins.
The CEP series often attracts a vast and varied audience to Barcelona, a major center for Spanish poker. There were 308 players in last year’s €1,100 High Roller event, and the winner, Sergio Contreras, took home €42,150 in a four-handed deal.
