Day 1A and 1B Overview of the Madness Kick-Off Event

USOP Hai Phong, featuring Day 1A and Day 1B, the much-awaited Madness Kick-Off Event was the first scheduled event. There was obvious enthusiasm on the tournament floor as two flights were underway. There was a lot of attendance on both days since poker fans came to play.

Day 1: A Review Of USOP Hai Phong

USOP Hai Phong , Day 1A started with 183 entries—130 different participants. Tension grew as the game progressed, and the bubble burst when Dao Van Hien eliminated Joungwoo Park following several hours of fierce combat. Led by Baiyu Ni, who finished the day with an amazing chip stack of 669,000, equivalent to 84 large blinds (bb), the 23 remaining players advanced to the next round.

Baiyu Ni’s best moment came when he hit a set with pocket tens, cracked pocket aces and obtained a vital edge. Ni confirmed his commanding position moving into Day 2 later on in the game, securing a knockout by straight, cementing defeat of an opponent’s pocket jacks.

Day 1B Recap Of USOP Hai Phong

USOP Hai Phong , Day 1B had an even bigger field with 204 entries—147 distinct players. Only 26 players survived after the day; Khayal Abbasov led the group. Abbasov grabbed 66 bb, equal to 659,000 chips. With one particularly noteworthy hand, he performed well all day, where his pocket kings subdued Nguyen Van Hien’s pocket queens in more subdued circumstances. Another highlight was Jia Chi Li knocking out Xiaxiao Chen, sending the latter to the bubble via train.

Madness Kick-Off: Day 1A and Day 1B Combined Chip Count

Combining both flights, the Madness Kick-Off Event saw 397 entries overall, and 49 players moved forward to the money rounds. Given Day 1C and 1D are set for September 12, the competition promises additional thrills. With a buy-in of VN₫ 9,000,000 (~US$ 360) the tournament boasts a VN₫ 5,000,000, (~US$ 203,200 guarantee). Starting with 30,000 chips, blinds rise every thirty minutes to guarantee a quick-paced game.

Yuan Xu Triumphs on the High Roller Warm-Up Single Day

USOP Hai Phong , Day 1’s High Roller Warm Up Single Day saw a good field of 69 participants (52 unique), among the main events. With a prize pool of VN₫ 2,594,400 (~US$ 105,440), the intense competition included USOP SHR crusher Hoang Hai Nam, Triton champion Dao Minh Phu, and WSOP bracelet holder Alex Lindop. Ultimately, the title was grabbed by prominent Chinese YouTuber Yuan Xu. Xu took on South African poker veteran Ahmed Karim in the heads-up contest. Xu’s pocket kings dominated Karrim’s king-jack in the last hand, ensuring Xu the triumph and a top reward of VN₫ 830,000,000 (~US$ 33,033).

Key Payouts from the High Roller Warm Up Single Day in USOP Hai Phong

  1. Yuan Xu – VN₫ 830,000,000 (~US$ 33,733)
  2. Ahmed Karrim – VN₫ 528,000,000 (~US$ 21,459)
  3. Do Quang Trinh – VN₫ 347,000,000 (~US$ 14,103)

Other noteworthy finishers were Florent Remi, who reached it to the money but was the first to bust at the final table, placing 10th; Konstantin Held, a previous WSOP Online champion, ended 7th.

USOP Hai Phong : Craig Cooper Clinches Triumph in Double Board Event

With 12 entries—11 unique—the Double Board Event witnessed fierce competition despite its tiny scale, resulting in a meagre prize fund of VN₫ 45,120,000 (~US$ 1,833). UK’s Craig Cooper came triumphant after claiming his second USOP trophy and a pay-off of VN₫ 29,300,000 (~US$ 1,190). Although the event drew fewer athletes, Cooper’s triumph over the trophy competition was no less exciting.

Xinxing Tang Downplays 7-Handed Hyper Turbo.

The 7-Handed Hyper Turbo event gave the USOP Hai Phong’s first day a quick-paced, high-energy component. Attracting 25 submissions (24 unique), the event drew VN₫ 4,000,000 (~US$ 160), therefore creating a prize fund of VN₫ 84,600,000 (~US$ 3,438). Claiming his first USOP championship and heading away with VN₫ 42,300,000 (~US$ 1,720), China’s Xinxing Tang topped the field. Tang’s deft play helped him to outlast the rivals and guarantee triumph; the hyper-turbo style guaranteed fast eliminations.

USOP Hai Phong : What’s Next?

Day 1 is behind us, and the buzz at USOP Hai Phong is getting stronger. The remaining flights for the Madness Kick-Off Event and additional high-stakes action in the esteemed High Roller competitions constitute upcoming events. More champions will surface as the celebration continues, adding their names to the already expanding list of USOP honours.

USOP Hai Phong presents an interesting combination of events and the opportunity to challenge some of the top players from across the globe, regardless of your level of interest in poker or your goal in playing. As the competition unfolds in the next few days, keep tuned for additional updates.
