Mohit Bohra: The Poker King of Goa! Crowned India’s First National Poker Champion!

The NPC 2025 finale was the culmination of a thrilling journey. It all started with the NPS India 2025 series. Twelve state champions battled it out over several days. They fought to secure their spot in the final showdown. After grueling match-play competition, only six players remained. The stakes were incredibly high. The ₹1 Crore top prize was on the line, along with the title of India’s First National Poker Champion.

Mohit Bohra entered the final table with 150 points. This tied him for the lowest starting stack, with 250 big blinds. He shared this position with Vikhyat Ahlawat and Wilson Yomso. From the start, Bohra played cautiously. But he also played strategically. A major turning point came when he scored a massive double-up. He achieved this by eliminating Bhanuprakash KC from Karnataka, which propelled him into a stronger position. From that moment on, Bohra started to gather momentum. He showcased his deep poker knowledge and determination.

Once the tournament reached three-handed play, Mohit Bohra shifted gears. He started dominating the table. First, he eliminated Ankit Wadhawan from Chandigarh. Wadhawan had started the final with a chip lead but faltered as the match progressed. With this victory, Mohit found himself in a strong heads-up position. He had more than a 3-to-1 chip lead over Sreekanth Narayan from Kerala.

In the final hand, Bohra didn’t waste any time sealing his victory. He eliminated Narayan and claimed the ₹1 Crore prize, forever securing his place as India’s first-ever National Poker Champion.

This exclusive freeroll, dubbed the NPC State Freeroll for Gujarat, will take place on April 26, 2025, at 7 PM, giving players from Gujarat a chance to win big, thanks to their local champion’s triumph.

It’s a gesture that truly gives back to his home state and strengthens the poker community within Gujarat.
