The WPT Cambodia Main Event has reached a high-stakes phase, with just 24 players remaining from an original field of 750 entrants. The blinds are now at 15,000/25,000/25,000, and every decision could mean the difference between a deep run and elimination. With a $2,400,750 prize pool on the line, the battle for the $390,650 first-place prize is getting intense.

For poker in India, this event has been a showcase of world-class talent. Four Indian players are still in the hunt, led by Aditya Agarwal and Ankit Ahuja, both sitting in strong positions as they push toward the final table.

Indians Still Fighting for the Title

Aditya Agarwal – 2,675,000 Chips (4th Overall)

Few names in poker India carry as much weight as Aditya Agarwal. A veteran of the game and one of India’s most accomplished players, he’s coming off a WSOP bracelet win in 2024—a major milestone in his career.

With 2,675,000 chips, he is one of the biggest stacks left in the field. His experience in navigating high-pressure situations makes him a serious contender for the WPT Cambodia title. If he keeps this momentum, another historic win could be on the horizon.

Ankit Ahuja – 1,700,000 Chips (10th Overall)

Ankit Ahuja has been one of the most consistent Indian performers on the international stage. After winning the Eureka Main Event at EPT Cyprus in 2023 for $362,365, he has proven himself in large-field tournaments.

Currently sitting with 1,700,000 chips, he is well-positioned to chip up and make a final table push. His deep tournament experience makes him a strong contender to go even further.

Apoorva Goel – 770,000 Chips (19th Overall)

A quiet but determined force in this event, Apoorva Goel has steadily built his stack. With 770,000 chips, he’s got work to do but is still very much in contention.

Somashekar Nahadeva – 330,000 Chips (24th Overall)

Holding the shortest stack in the tournament, Somashekar Nahadeva will need to pick his spots carefully. With 330,000 chips, he faces an uphill battle but remains one double-up away from turning things around.

Who’s Leading the Field?

Daniel Charlton – 5,555,000 Chips (Chip Leader)

The current chip leader, Daniel Charlton, holds an impressive 5,555,000 chips, giving him a dominant position as the tournament nears the final table.

Other Big Stacks:

  • Dominik Nitsche – 2,975,000 chips (2nd overall)
  • Peteris Enders – 2,830,000 chips (3rd overall)
  • Collin Ho – 2,650,000 chips (5th overall)

With these deep stacks applying pressure, every move matters for the remaining players.

What’s at Stake?

Every remaining player has already locked up at least $15,500, but the real money is still ahead. Here’s what they’re playing for:

  • 1st Place: $390,650
  • 2nd Place: $255,000
  • 3rd Place: $189,000
  • 4th Place: $142,000
  • 5th Place: $107,000
  • Min-Cash (24th Place): $15,500

With so much on the line, expect aggressive play as the field narrows.

India’s Growing Presence in Poker

With four Indian players still in the mix, this tournament is another major moment for poker in India. Over the years, Indian players have shown that they can compete at the highest level, and this deep run proves it once again.
