High Risk in WCOOP Event 55

From 251 to just 18 participants, WCOOP 56-H’s $1,050 No- Limit Hold’em (6-Max, PKO) event has shrunk the field. Among them are Talbot and Veldhuis, who will be aiming for top honours and highly valued WCOOP League points. Both Canadian poker ace Talbot and New Zealand’s Veldhuis from top ten chip counts, which creates an exciting ending.

With two past WCOOP championships—including the esteemed $25,000 Super High Roller in 2021— Hungary’s “kZhh” is the current chip leader and a fierce challenger. “kZhh” will be a major player to keep on eye once the competition picks back up.

WCOOP Event 55 Top 10 Chip Counts:

  1. kZhh – Hungary: 3,007,664
  2. darta777 – Lithuania: 2,874,862
  3. tonkaaaa – Canada: 2,864,890
  4. LrsLzk – Finland: 2,661,609
  5. Negrin – Argentina: 2,124,691
  6. SerVlaMin – Mexico: 1,810,276
  7. L. Veldhuis – New Zealand: 1,779,440
  8. FAL1st – Thailand: 1,416,620
  9. Kelvin_FP
    – Brazil: 1,251,047
  10. LOLproBR – Brazil: 1,225,241

Talbot and Veldhuis have already crossed paths at this event; Talbot just eliminated Veldhuis from a major hand, therefore supporting his ascent to third place in the overnight chip counts.

WCOOP Event 55 League Positioning

Additionally heating up are the WCOOP Event 55 League standings. With 3,455 points, Team peace & loove leads right now; Team tonkaaa comes second with 3,120 points. The rivalry is fierce; Team Easywithaces trails at 3,070 points. Talbot’s outstanding fourth-place finish in Event 48-M: $109 PLO helped Team Tonkaaaa especially climb to second place.

Conversely, Team Spraggy, under Benjamin “Spraggy,” stays at the bottom of the rankings; nonetheless, a third-place performance by Spragg in Event 55-M: $109 2-7 Single Draw points towards a possible return.

With major activity expected on Day 2 of Event 56-M and Event 54-H, Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber is also in hunt of the WCOOP League title.

“FAL1st” Rules with WCOOP Event 55

“FAL1st” won their fourth WCOOP title less than a week ago; today they added a fifth by winning Event 55-H: $1,050 2-7 Single Draw. This triumph confirmed their lead in the league by earning Team peace and loove $19, 490 as well as vital points.

Former WCOOP Event 55 winner Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi notably placed second in the event. Talbot came in tenth out of 51 entries, just making the money.

Event 55-H: $1,050 2-7 Single Draw Final Table Results:

  1. FAL1st – Thailand: $19,490
  2. raidalot – United Kingdom: $11,984

  4. ibotown – Austria: $5,407
  5. H.Oussalé – Germany: $3,631
  6. E. Aequitas – Austria: $2,439

“FAL1st” leads WCOOP Razz Championship Day 2.

Leading the field as the WCOOP Razz Championship moves to Day 2, “FAL1st” is also causing waves. Eleven players—including well-known mixed game experts like Patrick “pads1161,” Benny “RunGodlike,” and Adam “Adamyid”— Owen—remain out of 78 first entries.

Day 2 Chip Counts:

  1. FAL1st – Thailand: 1,608,205
