Surprises abound in tournament poker, and this time Brazil’s “Entaotoma” stole the show in the 888poker Mystery Bounty $100,000 Event. With sixth in chips out of eight remaining players, “Entaotoma” had an uphill fight entering the final table. Two hours after the contest began, though, they became the champion, pocketing $8,154 and astoundingly departing the pitch.

The triumph wasn’t one that came easy. “Entaotoma started with just 25 large blinds, but the top two stacks controlled 888poker Mystery Bounty 138 total blinds. Though the cards seemed stacked against them, poker levels the playing field, and “Entaotoma made the most of their possibilities.” Their deft play and some well-timed hands changed the tide and they declared triumph in this elite event.

888poker Mystery Bounty: An Exciting Event Counted At 970 Entrants

There were 970 participants altogether for this particular Mystery Bounty Main Event, all vying for a piece of the $100,000 prize fund. Still, it was more than simply the finishing places that counted. With some players walking away with enormous rewards via random bounties, the unusual mystery bounty structure gave the proceedings an interesting twist.

One of the most amazing events occurred when “Allejo7” placed 55th and merely made $140 from the main prize pool. But fortune was on their side as they opened one of the unique golden envelopes and grabbed the largest payout of the event—$10,000 mystery. Though “Entaotoma” won the title, “Allejo7” most definitely had a flash of glory with this unexpected windfall.

With $3,000 bounties, other gamers including “BrownBrit” and “ivan ascasubi,” also hit riches. For “BrownBrit,” the luck continued; they discovered an extra $1,000 bonus before their tournament path came to an end in 29th place.

The Mystery Bounty: The Final Table Showdown

The final table was set, with eight players vying for the top spot. Here’s how the players stacked up in terms of chips and big blinds:

  • DrDreddly (United Kingdom): 4,303,825 chips (86 big blinds)
  • Ramlalb14 (Trinidad & Tobago): 2,614,840 chips (52 big blinds)
  • pactamah23 (Germany): 1,918,302 chips (38 big blinds)
  • nice1baby (United Kingdom): 1,372,614 chips (28 big blinds)
  • GodBleefe7 (Brazil): 1,366,302 chips (27 big blinds)
  • Entaotoma (Brazil): 1,252,270 chips (25 big blinds)
  • 0nlyBet (Cyprus): 1,163,318 chips (23 big blinds)
  • Pavelsport (Ukraine): 558,529 chips (11 big blinds)

Starting with just 11 large blinds, “Pavelsport” from Ukraine left the table first. They lost most of their stack, then made an all-in move with ace-ten, but it was insufficient to stop the pocket queens of “0nlyBet,” who eliminated them.

Fascinatingly, it was “0nlyBet” who trailed closely behind. The next hand “0nlyBet” raised with king-queen of diamonds only to discover they were up against the king-jack of clubs run by “pactamah23.” Following a hard fight, a jack on the turn sealed the deal, and “0nlyBet” was dispatched packing.

The Crossing Point of 888poker Mystery Bounty

The hand that really changed the final table’s dynamic was “GodBleefe7” of Brazil facing chip leader “DrDreaddly.” “GodBleefe7” chose to do a large re-raise with ace-queen after “DrDreaddly” brought pocket deuces. Then, though, came the audacious action from “Entaotoma,” four-bet all-in with pocket jacks. “GodBleefe7” called, only to see their tournament ending as “Entaotoma’s” jacks held strong. This hand gave “Entaotoma” a major boost in chips and confidence, moving them to roughly 38 large blinds, thereby firmly positioning them in the contention for the crown.

A Succession Of Exits

Following that was “Ramlalb14” from Trinidad & Tobago. Though initially the second-largest stack, as they tried to gather momentum luck seemed to abandon them. Their last hand occurred in a button-versus-big blind situation; they turned top pair only to run into the pocket aces of “pactamah23.” Their tournament was done at that, and the pitch now stood down to four.

With the chip lead in hand and some good fortune on their side, “Entaotoma” performed an aggressive style raking up valuable pots and building bounties. Their call of an all-in from “pactamah23,” with ace-ten of hearts, marked one pivotal moment. Though “pactamah23’s” ace-queen dominated, a ten on the flop turned the hand in “Entaotoma’s” advantage, therefore disqualifying “pactamah23” from the event.

The Battle Of Last Chance

“Entaotoma” was obviously in the driver’s seat as just three players remained. They then met “Dr. Dreaddly” in a critical hand that chose the last conflict. With pocket tens, “Dr. Dreaddly” pushed all-in; “Entaotoma” held the stronger hand with pocket queens. Following his winning hand, “Entaotoma” had an 11,541,566 chip commanding chip advantage versus the 3,008,434 chips possessed by the last opponent, “nice1baby.”

Fans hoped for an intense heads-up fight, but it was short lived. Few hands into heads-up play, “nice1baby” pushed with king-nine of spades, and “Entaotoma” called with ace-three of diamonds. Both players received a pair from the flop; then, “Entaotoma” hit an ace that stayed through the turn and river, guaranteeing the win in Mystery Bounty.

Results From Final Table

  • Entaotoma (Brazil): $7,305 prize, $849 in bounties, $8,154 total
  • United Kingdom: $498 in bounties, $5,340 prize, overall $5,838 nice1baby
  • Dr. Dreaddly (United Kingdom): $3,925 prize, $245 in bounties, $4,170 total
  • Germany’s pactamah23: $351 in bounties, $2,885 prize, overall $3,236.
  • Ramlalb14 (Trinidad & Tobago): $2,135 prize, $491 in bounties, total $2,626.
  • GodBleefe7 (Brazil): $1,509 prize, $298 in bounties, total $1,888.
  • Cyprus: 0nlyBet: $1,195 prize, $192 in rewards, total $1,387.
  • Ukraine Pavelsport: $245 in bounties, $905 prize, overall $1,150 Looking Ahead
