Martin Kabrhel: Chaos, Comedy, and Controversy

Few players stir up the table like Martin Kabrhel. Coming in short-stacked, Kabrhel didn’t waste time. From offering naked dances for timebanks to prophesying flops like a poker psychic, the Czech livewire brought life to the high-stakes grind.

“This is so easy, this game who is not happy?” — Kabrhel, after chopping all-in vs Kenney’s aces.

Though he bowed out in 7th ($674,359), Kabrhel was the people’s champ in entertainment. Even on the rail, his energy lingered.

Here's the full-length bubble hand between @dpeterspoker17 and @martinkabrhell that took place on last night's @WSOP $250,000 Super High Roller bubble.

Big Names, Brutal Beats: Negreanu, Brewer & Peters

Daniel Negreanu made the money but missed the final table by one — a heartbreak for fans. Chris Brewer, poker’s current bad beat magnet, again saw his hopes crushed after Foxen rivered a set. His reaction? A now-iconic mix of disbelief and frustration.

“How does it happen every time?” — Brewer after another dream-killing river.

David Peters, fresh off a legendary bubble bluff against Kabrhel, bowed out 6th ($826,348), still riding high on one of the most-watched hands of the summer.

Seth Davies Goes from Underdog to Bracelet Hero

At the start of final table play, Seth Davies was sitting with 10.5M chips. But a few big moves later — including a perfectly timed four-bet with AQ suited and an epic flush-over-flush vs Bryn Kenney — Davies was the man to beat.

He then ran up to 52M chips, overtaking Foxen and Boivin. Even after a misstep that doubled Foxen up with jacks vs AK, Davies stayed composed and came into heads-up with a slight deficit.

Heads-Up Showdown: Davies vs. Foxen

Heads-up was short, sharp, and savage. First hand: Foxen’s AQ vs Davies’ AJ — but Davies flopped the winner. On the other hand, Foxen jammed with KJ… only to run into Davies’ pocket aces. Game over.

Final Table Payouts – WSOP $250K Super High Roller

PlacePlayerPrize
1Seth Davies$4,752,551
2Alex Foxen$3,060,314
3Thomas Boivin$2,057,430
4Bryn Kenney$1,446,929
5Chris Brewer$1,066,731
6David Peters$826,348
7Martin Kabrhel$674,359
8Ben Tollerene$581,411

Poker Strategy Takeaways

  • Mental Resilience Pays: Davies’ comeback post-jack/AK flip showed calmness under pressure.
  • Avoiding Tilt Is Key: Brewer’s reaction may be justified, but staying focused wins the war.
  • Table Presence Matters: Kabrhel’s showmanship affected the tempo, drawing attention and rattling opponents.
  • Execution > Fame: While Negreanu and Kenney exited early, it was Davies who quietly conquered all.

Must-Watch Hands from the WSOP $250K

  1. Peters’ bubble bluff vs. Kabrhel (elite-level pressure play)
  2. Foxen rivers set vs. Brewer (insane runout reaction)
  3. Davies’ flush over Kenney’s flush (cooler of the century)
  4. First-hand chop – Kabrhel vs. Kenney (aces cracked?)
  5. Final heads-up flip – AJ vs. AQ (momentum turns on a dime)
